Black spots on yellow tang

I have just had 2 fish disappear in my tank...a cleaner wrasse and royal gramma. Today when I got home from work my yellow tang has tiny black spots on it. It is acting fine and eating well. All my tank parameters are great. I don't understand what is going on. Everything in my tank has been going so well and now I feel like it is going downhill fast. Please help!!!!!!

it could be black ich. post some pics in the disease forum

Just treated for black ick or black spot disease on YT. Treated with fresh water dip and formulin.(I think that was the name)
BI is not deadly but the infections that can follow are.

My lfs set me up with some formulin in my freshwater dip and told me to add copper to my quarintine tank. What kind of infections are you talking about? Do these infections still come even if you get rid of the ich?

ich causes a weakened immune system and makes the fish more vulnerable to infection from other things. I like to mix garlic in with fish food when they are sick to help build immune system up. do a search for feeding garlic to get some more info.
