Hi all, new to posting on forums as i normally read others problems and get the answer i need.
I have a 27 gallon tank with 30lbs of live rock, it had 2 clowns and a lmb in there until i recently purchased a wrasse which is black with white spots and a yellow tail (my lfs said it would be fine in my tank) It did not come out for a few days and seems ok now. My question to all you experienced peeps is should i take it back, as i have read they like copepods to eat and i dont think the amount of lr i have is enough to sustain a worthy amount for the fish i have purchased. I was thinking of buying a seperate 3 gallon tank and keeping/breeding my own as they are a beautiful fish.
I will be getting a larger tank in the next 2 years (260 litres if not larger)
But i am fairly new to this addictive hobby and do not want a death that can be prevented on my hands.
Take her back?
Thank you to all that take the time to read this.

I should have also asked what r u feeding? Some fish it takes awhile to eat mysis. I have clowns that still wont eat it. Then I have another pair that will eat brine one day and the next day spit it out lol

I feed Frozen Krill, Garlic enriched Brine, Brine gutloaded with spirulina, Flake and got some live copepods today for the wrasse which he went nuts for.

Thanks again.

Hmm brine usually gets them to eat. You could try live brine if u can find it. I would say he will eat frozen eventually. Alot of wrasse will eat pods but usually not exclusively

It is my own fault for not researching a fish before I buy, my lesson has been learned! She maybe eating the fallen food off the rocks, as I turn my powerheads off when I feed, but for me that's not enough. I want to see her eat! She does not look skinny as I have googled the description of the fish and it looks the same as the pics. My name describes me perfectly (holds head in hands)

Appreciated.

I will persist and see how things go, if any more doubts are in mind I will take her back.

I have never seen most marine fish that can be kept in an aquarium, but this one is awesome!

When I look on tamarin wrasse care, they are expert level.. I will do my best and keep a close eye on her.

I keep thanking you, but...

Thanks again lol.

I just looked it up too. It says small mysis. The spitting it out is normal to break it down in size
