Blackfooted lionfish

just was browsing the site and i saw Blackfooted Lionfish.... I havent seen or heard much about these so any information abuot them would be great... feeding, habits, care, how it works with tank mates. any help is apreciated. Thanx

75 gal right? I say its okay, and a lookdown, and a panther grouper are my best suggestions, the lookdowns a little pricey but anyone that sees it will be in awe. look up my suggestions on this site and tell me if u like the ideas.

They are deep water fish and are not too common in the trade. Like other lions in all other ways except it likes to dig its self in the sand some times. Choosing a healthy specimen is very important for their survival as it can be a little harder to acclimate to tank life then other species. For tankmates anything that wont fit in its mouth. Look downs get to be larger then dinner plates so stay away from them and as for panther groupers they get too large for your system. Just get any other fish that are good sized.

I think this subject has been tackled before and the conclusion was that no one could keep them alive very long.

hey guys thanks for all your help.... I wasnt planning on gtting one, but I was curious about them because it is good to know these for future tanks.... THanks again for the help
