Ble ach-smelling sock?

I change my sock about twice a week and rotate between 3 or them. I usually hand wash then soak in very diluted bleach for a day and then let air-dry for a day. Anyways, it has been raining cats and dogs here in Florida and the sock just won't airdry...so I threw it in the dryer. It is now TOTALLY DRY, but it faintly smells like bleach. Is this OK to use? I think my girlfriend may have just used more bleach than I do...but it is TOTALLY DRY. Bleach-smell worries me. Socks are like $12.99 @ my LFS, and it's dry. Anyone's socks slightly smell like bleach?

I picked up some chlorine test strips for a swimming pool to test my socks. I soak mine in a bucket and test before drying.

I always rinse, them add declorinator to the water. Let soak and then dry

IMO If you smell Bleach, then there IS Bleach.
