Have you changed bulbs? What lighting and photoperiod? Could anything near it sting?

I would say that something is wrong with you ionic balance. Ratio of calcium, magnesium and Kh. remember they slide with the salinity.

i have the same bulbs...the company promised those lights are good for corals...now with that said i have it near the top to get more light..nothing near it to sting....this was taken 2 days ago or so...i have had it since oct 15th...i was wondering if it was to high in the tank...its tenicales still come out at night....this is my last attempt at hard corals until i do change bulbs....the softs are doing well

Well you didn't say what type of bulbs. MH, PC, Ect and wattage.
It may very well be it is getting to much light if you have MH. They need to be moved up slowly to acclimize to the high light. To much to soon will cause bleaching. I recomend that it be moved to the sand bed. Is that a trumpet coral? If so, it will prolly do better near the sand anyway.(assuming you have MH)

Ah, PC's.
How old(bulbs), photoperiod(time the light is on each day) and did you move it up from the bottom to the top overnight?

i didnt move it up over night....but i brought i back down a little and it looks a slight bit better...the bulbs are like 7 months old....and since my last mishap i now have them on per your idea ..the blues come on for an hour by them self,,,they both are on for 4 hours...the blues go off....then both on again for 3 hours then just the blues for 2 hours...something like that if not that very close..again thanks for the help
