Blenny (and other fish) Poop

I've got a Black Sailfin Blenny that does a great job of keeping my diatoms in check. He's constantly grazing on the stuff all day. As a result he poops often and might I say it's some big poop for such a small animal. I don't think I've ever read anything about this but how do you guys clean up fish poop? Just leave it be? Turkey baste it to get it broken uyp and into the water column?
I see all kinds of clean up critters labeled at detrivores but the ones I have (nass snails) haven't touched the stuff. Is this a job for pods? I've been scanning my tank daily and see no signs of any thus far. They don't appear out of nowhere like nitrifying bacteria do right? They have to hitchhike on rock I assume. How long usually till they appear?
As a side note, my Blenny is apparently potty trained. He likes to swim to the same corner of the tank to poop everytime. It's pretty funny. Mine also eats Formula one and 2 so I guess I lucked out.

you could get hermits, snails, shrimp, serpant or brittle star, all will help keep your tank clean. the best bet is to have a good variety. check out the reef packages on this site.

At my current count I've got:
3 Scarlet Hermits
10 Nassarius Snails
13 Astrea Snails
10 Cerith Snails
1 Mexican Turbo
1 Fighting Conch
as my clean up crew. They do a pretty good job. My tank looks leaps and bounds better after putting em in. I guess I spoke too son before posting this thread since my nass snails ended up burrowing around my Blenny's designated toilet so it's not visible anymore.
But are they actually eating the stuff or are they just breaking it up into less visible pieces?
