blenny & goby compatibility

I am about to order some livestock for my 90 gal (which is 3 mo. old). I already have one chromis & a small clean up crew. Can I safely add a sailfin/algae blenny and a yellow watchman at the same time, along with more clean up crew? And will they get along o.k.?

Sometimes blennies smack other bottom dwellers around, but adding them at the same time might work.

thanks for the reply but after reading the other thread going about the LMblenny beating up on the goby, I think I'm going to skip the LMB altogether. If I add one at all I think it will be much later.

I have a 75 gal and have a LMB. red-lip and midas blennies, yellow watchman and prawn gobies and they all get along just fine. They all eat most foods except the red-lip which just eats algae in the tank and on the live rock.

As the poster of that other thread.......personally, I wouldn't do it. Many people have had better success than I did though. They were added one day apart, first the LMB, next day the Goby and Pistol Shrimp. I will say that the LMB started using the tunnels with the pistol and Goby as soon as the shrimp started digging. I do not know if this is usually the case, and they were also in a 29 gallon tank. Search around on other sites on the web for stories and feedback about other blenny and goby compatibility. A watchman may not be as territorial as a red-lipped or lawnmower. Either way good luck to you in making your decision and I hope it all works out for you! :)

Well, for now I'm going to get the watchman. My tank is 90 but I have very little LR and I don't want to start out with trouble. But personally I think the LMB are cute!
