Hey, I have a Lawnmower Blenny that is pretty big (around 4 - 4.5") and I wanted to know if I was to add a smaller Goby or a smaller Blenny, would my LMB hurt them?
Also my tank is a 29g reef.
All your posts are much appreciated

I don't think putting 2 blennies in a 29 would be such a good idea... They will be competing for the same food, and they will most likely fight if they are of similar body shape.

Quote from reef corner about LMB Salarias fasciatus;
"Disposition: May chase or bully other fish in close quarters, but usually not an issue in larger tanks. Should be kept as single specimens or as a male/female pair in tanks less than about 55 gallons."

I have a LB and an ornate goby and they are fine in a 46 gal the LB goes on the rocks and the goby chills in the sand mostly so they don't really bump into eachother.

Thanks for the info.
I forgot to say I'm upgrading to a larger tank so the space issue will not be a problem.

When you upgrade add the smaller fish first and wait a few days before adding the larger one. This is no guarantee but it is your best chance. Don T.

I got a 75gl tank with:
Watchman Blenny
Midas blenny
Shrimp Goby
Sleeper Goby (2)
Al if them use the same rock for home, the midas on top and everybody else underneath the rock. They have being there for almos a year and so far a big happy family.
