Blinded Naso Tang

Calling all sharks!!! I'm in dire need of advice. I just got home about twenty minutes ago and my six inch naso tang appears to be blind. His appearance looks to be normal, however, he is swimming with his pectoral fins elongated and is bumping into everything. He does not appear to be having any breathing difficulties, his eyes are clear. All water tests are within normal tolerances. I have a seventy-five gallon fowlr tank. It houses the naso tang and a small dragon goby. It contains roughly fourty pounds of lr. For filtration I use a fluval 303, aquaclear 200?, and a protein skimmer. The tank has been running for nearly a year. The fish were added about a month ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Good news! about twenty minutes after posting, the fish seemed to be fine. I feed him green seaweed, formula two, marine cuisine variety pack. Once a month I'll soak the food in garlic and twice as often I'll soak the food in zoe. I feed them normally twice a day, although seaweed only once/day. I have a theory on what might have occured. I work a twenty-four hour shift. When I got up in the morning, I turn on the lights and commence feeding... well I forgot to arrange for my neighbor to come over in the evening and shut the lights off, hence the lights ran all night. So when I got home about twenty-six hours later, in the morning, I shut the lights off for the entire day giving the lights and fish a rest. I was out of the house all day keep in mind. When I came home last night, I turned on the lights to give a little food and that is when the fish appeared "blind". Is it possible since he was in relative darkness all day and then the BRIGHT JBJ light was turned on that he experienced a "blinding light"? Is that possible? Anyway, all is well, fat and happy. Thank you for your response.

Oh definately, that was it. Get a timer for your lights. It works great!
