haha, i do not plug my car into anything...i would be pretty sad if i didnt have snow...it would have been a sad sad winter--even if our first real snow is in FEB!i could do without the tornados, and thsoe type of things, but snow is a must
when we were younger my grandpa would take my brothers and my cousin and i up to a giant hill and we'd take runners(the amazing actually good sleds) and play "Full Contact Sledding"
basically anything goes to get first down the hill...haha, what a blast.

Sounds like fun, until you get old and brittle!

We used to tobaggon down a 'hill' in WI.....we'd laugh until we were silly.
I just can't say that I miss it.
We still have mountains and skiing, and lakes/water sports etc here. You just have to drive about an hour.

yea, we only got 8 inchs of snow, but it was covered in 3 inches of ice, that was also taken in the morning, it rained ice (sleet?) since then til 8, so add another inch of ice, and NOW we're finally getting the snow, so we are getting perhaps half of what the higher parts of indiana are getting, but our ice levels are insane.... which sucks cuz you can drive on snow, ice... not so much

Worst part for me is the Accuweather Inclement Weather Policy.
"It is the expectation that all staff members will make appropriate efforts to get to work under all circumstances. In the event that roadways are officially closed by government declaration due to weather, all essential AccuWeather staff are expected to make arrangements to be present. AccuWeather is considered by state government designate to be an essential employer that allows our staff to be exempt from road closings. Evidence of employment (identification badge) should be carried with staff when traveling to and from AccuWeather."
That's right kids if the road is shut down my Civic still has to make it through or I get punished...awesome.

We finally got some real snow up here in Maine and it's still coming down, we're only going to get 7-14". Originally I'm from Upstate NY, wish I was there this year. They are getting some real snow.

Catawaba - you have no natural disasters yet, except for mexicans....
BUT Lake Meade is at it's lowest point in history , due to lack of mountain ice (climate change? not for discussion on this thread ;) ) but when it finally melts away for good and the lake dries up, the Hoover damn will be nothing but a symbol of the past and you will have no electricity! (im pretty sure NM is powered by the damn, i know a lot of Cali, Nev, and Az are powered by it...)

sorry i didnt mean that they are natural disasters, i just meant that this is the only 'problem' in the area. as a lot of illegals cross the border. didnt mean to offend.
