What other fish are in the tank? Could one of them be picking on him? Melafix will help heal the damaged fins, but you should find out what the source of the problem is.

It sounds like there is a water quality issue here.
Can you list your pH, kH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, temp, and salinity?

ph is 8 and ntrate and nitite is 0 salinity is 1.22 the temp is 81.7. im sure its not the water quality. is this a contagious diseasse?

Well, a pH of 8.0 is kind of on the low side. Do you test for alkalinity?
Fin rot and reddening fins is not contagious.

Have you been treating it, or did it just go away on it's own?

Alot of the time if a fish's immune system is strong they can fight these problems on their own. I am glad to hear the bloodyness is gone!

Yes it will. Check your water parameters and be sure your fish is getting a proper diet that is varied and soak all food in vitamines. You will want to find the source of the problem before treating it. Please post your water parameters, tank mates, and diet.
