BLUE ALL THE WAY. LOOKS GREAT NO THE LESS!
My 55g has the blue and the 90g has black. BLUE LOOKS THE BEST IMO of course.

Depends on the tank. I had blue on 58 Oceanic Reef Ready which looked great but black on my new 90 AGA Reef Ready because the overflow box is slightly off center instead of a corner overflow and blue would have looked strange with the black overflow in the middle of it.

My favorite is the blue background that is darker on the bottom and fades to lighter blue on the top.

how do you put the black background on there? What material? I don't want to paint it, too late now anyways. I don't really want to stick any tape or velco stickers on the tank either.. I don't know how I could do it.. any ideas?
Edit: well after searching around the forums for a solution.. I think I may just get a peice of black acrylic or black formica cut to 48x20".. then velcro it on. This seems pretty simple and could change colors if I wanted to later. Anybody do this with any comments?

I went with black because the person at the LFS that sold me my tank told me that blue tended to show the algae much more prominently. She showed me tanks that had algae growing on the back and the blue background made this more apparent. I always planned on not cleaning the back to allow for a more natural ecosystem and am glad to have chosen black.
