That's Gorgous!
I just saw one today, much smaller excellent color for $120, is that overpriced or underpriced...also do you know whether they do well without Halides, I have a 125 with 4 6 foot VHO's. My Birthday is this weekend so I'm considering it.

Tanks 1 1/2 years old and still non coraline on the back of the tank :notsure:
nice blue carpet though
I would love to get one  I would be hesataint to keep one in that small of a nano with just power compacts (I a assume that is what you have in there? They really should be under metal halide lighting.
Heres a pic of my purple tip in a 12 week old 90 gal tank that has tons of coraline. Even growing on the back of the tank already. The rock did come out of a 2 year old 210 gallon that I had though.

Just what I meant. It looks too clean to be that old......Plus if he doesn't NH that beautiful blue carpet won't survive.

Maybe he/she can clarify the age of the tank

I would also like to point out that blue carpets are pretty much the hardest anemones to keep they need perfect and stable water condtions and metal halide lighting.
It may take time but over a period it will starve from light deprivation.

Its a real nice anemone....might do well...but I think a larger tank and metal halides are going to be necessary for long term success. But like I said, real nice specimen.... :joy:

Technically it's a White Sebae Anemone.
I've got a black perc and a false orange perc and no
they are not hosting it but then from what I know percs gennerally don't host Sebae's. Thats why I am looking at trying a Heteractis Magnifica or a blue carpet Anemone to see if they will take to it.

Yeah... I love the way sebae's I think they are one of the best looking anenonmes but they don't host perc's... I just had the littlest bit of hope in the back of the mind that it is possible just rare and maybe you got lucky... oh well ... anyways great looking "white sebae"

He's a nice one, hummm no coraline on the rock a year and a half old?? Looks like it is not LR maybe base rock. I don't see any life on it at all, not picking on you just an observation.. at Any rate nice anemone good luck with him, we do hope for an update in a couple of weeks, and sneak up on the clowns and take a picture of them in it! I want to see them in it too!!!

Dont you need metal halides or at least a lot of light more then the stock lighting on that nano cube?.....let me know how the anemone is doing.

Just a quick FYI..... We had a beautiful blue carpet just like yours and it ate around 5 of our fish over a 6 mo. period!!! We also got it a white anenome crab to host so that it would keep away future dinners but to no avail!! We fed it also........ just be careful.

I didn't think mine would host my white sebae. After about a year of having the anemone they went in and wont come out and are laying eggs every 11 days on a rock right by the anemone. I don't know how long you have had it, but I never thought my clowns would host it..
Good luck!

Wow nice shots, they could be in a book! I got a couple of questions for you. How many clowns do you have and do they compete for the Sebae? Do you remove the eggs to a hatchery or leave them there? Have any babies hatch?? I would love to see babies! :cheer: Nice pic!

Thanks. I wouldn't say the pics could be in a book, but I really appreciate the complement.
I have seen pictures on here that are unbelievable.
I have three clowns. The mated pair I have had for about five years. I had the mated pair and the anemone in a 30 gallon then I had a 15 gallon with two little clowns. I lost one of the clowns in the 15 gallon tank due to my cat, about a month later I upgraded to a 55 gallon thinking I would put all of them in at the same time so the wouldn't fight. They did all right at first, the pair didn't want anything to do with the little clown but they left him alone for the most part. Then a few days later the little clown was slowly going in and out of the anemone which I have had for over a year and the mated pair didn't want anything to do with it until they saw the little clown in it and then they suddenly wanted the anemone. They kicked the little clown out of the anemone and really beat him up anytime he got near it. A couple weeks later they started laying eggs. They let him in anemone now, he just doesn't get to close to them. I think knows his place.
I just had eggs hatch last night I didn't get this batch. She will lay more either tomorrow or the next day. That has been her schedule ever since the first batch. I will take lots of pics.
I did try and remove the eggs one time but it really stressed them out and me too! They would not stop biting my hand so I gave up.
I know when there going to hatch now by looking at them. They start hatching usually eight days after she lays them. On the night of day eight I turn off the pumps and 1to 2 hours after the tank lights go out they are hatching. I take a pen light or flash light and have a bucket and point the light toward the bowl I have in the tank and amazingly they swim in there like mad. The first night I did that it took a long time but now it only takes about half hour and I have all the fry without stressing me or the clowns out.
I have not had any survive for more then six days, that is because I'm trying to raise them without live food, which is possible (or so I have read it is possible) but very hard. Also you have to do water changes at least twice a day. I will attach some pics just as soon as I take them. Soon.
