Blue coral

How do you know if your blue mushroom coral is healthy. Does it shrivel up or lay limp to the rock. I just recieved one Mushroom head from the lfs. It was sitting in the tank and I asked if I could see how it would do in my tank and he gave it to me. Will it multiply being only one mushroom. It seems ok but I would know the difference at this point.. Thanks for responding.

If it is happy, it will take hold and multiply. If it is unhappy, it will not. I have given mushrooms to experienced reefer with great tanks, and they are not as happy as they were in my tank. So, you really never know how it will go. Other tank mates have an influence.
