Blue Damsel

We have a blue damsel and he has been kind of bobbing upside down by the filter. We have put him in a seperate feeder tank and he does fine. We let him out and he swims crazy back and forth across the top of the tank and then eventually ends up by the filter. What do you think is wrong with him? He has been like this for two weeks now!!

Have you tested your water to make sure it's ok? If he's ok in your other tank then maybe something is off in you regular tank. Temp, salinity, ph, ammonia, nitrates, etc. I definately wouldn't flush him. Keep him in your other tank so he doesn't suffer until you figure it out.

Also, is there anything else in the tank that could be stressing him. I didn't think damsels stressed that easy though. Not sure

He is fine in the breeding box which is in the same tank so that would not be a problem. I did take the water sample and everything is fine. The only thing I can think of would be stress. How long does it take for him to pop out of this stage or do you think he is going to eventually die.
