I know they are large angels but is one better suited than the other for a 75 gal long?

I have. The emperor is my favorite fish. I will set up my aquarium this week coming so I have a ways to go but trying to pick fish and trying to incorporate my favorite. I just can't afford anything than a 75.

i understand your pain. do you plan to put any other fish with the angel?

I'd like a flame and powder blue tang. Those three are my favorite fish.

I have found the blue face angel to be more shy than the emperor. A 75 will prove to be very small for these Angels, but it is doable for a short time if you start with a juvenile, but it will be a foot long pretty quickly, and will continue to grow thereafter. My 15 year old emperor was about 15 inches in my 220 when hurricane sandy took out most of my livestock, but the fish spent its first years in a 110.

Well that's positive to hear. At my local fish club there is a 800 gallon aquarium and they had an emperor in it. He got no where close to 15". They eventually pulled him out because he kept eating all the coral in the tank.
