Blue filter media and Chemi Pure

First the chemi pure. I used it for a week and it really improved my water quality. I removed it today. Question, when I rinsed it it didn't resemble the rins of carbon. It seemed as if I could rinse it for days and black residue continued to come out. Is this normal? I rinsed it slowly and used 2g of RO.
Blue Filter. I've got it wedged between 2 baffles but I'm having to replace it every few days or it backs up my flow. I'm going through a lot of blue filter. Can I rinse it or should I just bite the bullet and continue to replace it?
Thanks

Yes that is normal for the Chemi-pure, just rinse a little bit, then use. I don't know about your blue filter, I use 100 and 50 micron filter pads, when they get dirty they go in the washing machine with bleach. Then I rinse with dechlorinator twice and once with nothing just water. Let dry and reuse. I don't know if this helps but that is what I do. I would rinse them and reuse until you can't really get them clean any more.

Do you use the filter between baffles. I'm looking for something else that will fit and re-usable would be an added benefit.
Any other filter options? I may have to start a new thread.

The Chemi-pure description is 100% accurate for me as well.. I dont use Blue filter so no opinion there. It says to change every 3 to 6 months on the label but I would change the sooner pending on your bio-load.
I do use this product, I really like it and its re-useable
People rave about on W.W.M.

I don't use baffles, it is just an open sump basically, holds skimmer, pump, and pump for my fuge. I just use the pads where I can wedge them in place and one where my fuge empties back into the sump. Eventually I am planning to use filter socks on my drains. My main purpose for the pads is to minimize bubbles in DT, not really for filtering but they do some. I know that is probably no help. Maybe some of the HOB or canister filters sponge material would work for you. They may be a little more porous, of course it won't remove the smallest stuff, but should trap the bigger stuff and maybe not clog a easy. Maybe Eheim Ehfifix could work for you. Like said, I think I use mine for different purposes but you should be able to come up with some type of compromise. You can reuse just about any mechanical filter material, just becomes less effective the more you reuse.
