Blue hippo tang in a reef

Yesterday I caught him biting my toadstool. He hasn't been eating well since I got him last week and he doesn't look happy. What can I feed the Tang that will keep him away from the corals?

try seaweed select on a veggie clip , brine marinated in garlic or kents - garlic xtreme .. mine go nuts over the stuff ..hth

My hippo eats anything I feed him. As mentioned before, they love seaweed select, brine shrimp, formula 1 flakes.

I've tried bine shrimp and he just spits it out. Should I be rubbing garlic on the brine first? Or is garlic brine something I have to get at LFS.?

You can soak it in garlic. I highly recommend the product sold on this site. Garlix Elixer.

you can get "kent - garlic xtreme for the LFS or online" . I have seen where some use fresh garlic and extract the juice , but i have never used the fresh garlic .

watch how much garlic you marinate the food with . I know from experience that garlic xtreme is very very strong . just add a drop or 2 and go from there . I using cleaned out pill containers to mix food , so i don't add very much ... stinky stuff ... good luck
