blue hippo tank

i got a blue hippo tank on sunday i was told he was reef safe but i have just been waching him munch on my red coral is he going to keep eating it do i need to take it out????

I always thought they were reef safe but I don't know for sure, if he has already started eating it then he probably won't stop unless its just that coral he likes so well. I would keep a close eye on him and if he keeps doing it then I would return him.

would you remove the tang or the coral

Well if you have other corals then I would remove the tang, but it may be that the tang only likes that type of coral? I would wait and see if he is interested in the other corals or just that one.

we have mushrooms and leather he seems to be leaving them alone

He may be picking at algae or worms that are on/in the coral. Keep an eye on him and see if the behaviour continues, my guess is that it won't. What kind of coral?
