i recently ( week and a half) put a blue hippo tang in my 125 gal. he seems to be doing great no signs of stress or ich or anything the problem im having is he wont eat any kind of seaweed or greens that i put in the tank. he chows down on the flake food im feeding the other fish does anybody know of a good way to get him to eat the greens i know their extremely vital to keeping him healthy and would be relieved if he would eat some

See if you can get him on Formula two flake...that stuff is an algae flake and should take care of it. Be sure to also feed formula one two though, that way you have a good balance between meaty and algae foods.

My blue tang would not eat seawed in my quarantine tank for three weeks and would not eat in my 75g tank until it saw the yellow tang eating. Once it saw the other fish eat the seaweed it became the most aggressive eater in the tank. So if no one else in the tank is eating I would just be patient.

Take a small piece of live rock and attach a piece of seaweed selects or Nori with a rubberbandl to the rock. Place the rock near his favorite spot in the system. Move away from the tank. he will eventually find it and eat it. Remove it and replace with fresh as needed. You can also try to soak it in a little garlic .
