Blue jaw trigger is acting funny

I have had my blue jaw trigger for almost six months now, and he has been a great fish, but for the past few days he has been swiming very fast from one end of the tank to the other, I am getting a little worried because he still does it when i turn off the lights, Is he sick or am I just over reacting??? :help:

What size tank & what size is your trigger?
My Pinktail swims back and forth very fast in my 300g and some times it is for hours.

my trigger is about three inches long, and mu tank is 150 gallons, the weird thing is that he never used to do it, and he does it all day all the time now, any ideas on what to do about it????

This is not normal behavior, could your trigger be getting harassed by another fish?
Have you tested your Water?
This can also be a sign of irritation, Do you see anything on your Trigger, like ich...
Constant swimming does increase metabolic rate and oxygenation, it can be a "catch 22".
I just had a lion do this for day's, just swim back and forth non-stop at the same pace, I was worried about that fish but it calmed down. I have never had any of my triggers do this...

I have tested my water and everything is within normal range, I also have a V-tail grouper, a huma huma trigger, a green wolf eel, and a snoflake eel, every single one of them eat very good, and none of them do what the blue jaw does, the grouper messes with him a little bit but nothing out of the ordinary, another thing is that the blue jaw looks very healthy, his coors ar vivrant and i so not notice any spots or ick or anything that would tell me that he is sick

Just burning off steam. Triggers are some of the most active fish in the hobby. Swim is what they do. oh, and eat.

I wish I could say more on this, unfortunately I can not, I found nothing about this even on WetWeb. Hope someone chimes in about a trigger swimming constantly day & night,
you can also try re-arranging some rock.
I know when my Lion did this it was the same pace day & night in the same area, plus it stopped eating, I kept a close eye on the fish, it swam non stop for 6 days. One day it just stopped, so I hope your trigger settles down.
