any suggestions for food
He does not seem to be eating much
he is only 3 iches long
he does not really like flake spiralina
doesnt ike brine
likes formula 2, but my fox face eats it all up
he does not like sea weed
what else can I try besides formula 2?

I have gotten them to eat zooplankton before, and also some of the algae sheets that you can clip inside the tank. Good luck!

How long have you had it?
If you just got it then try some live brine or frozen mysid shrimp. I have two hippos and took them a while to figure out what food was, but now there both pigs and will eat anything.

I have had the hippo for 2 days
he is hungry bc he eats anything floating in the water and has tried everything I put in the tank, but spits it out then does not eat it again
HE did this with the algea sheets
and frozen brine

Give him more time to get acclimated. I bought a wrasse a few months ago that wouldn’t come out from his hiding place under the gravel for about a week. When he finally did come out he didn’t eat a lot at the beginning, but now he is a voracious eater.
