Is he a new fish? Is it just one eye? Is the eye popped at all, or just cloudy?

Hes been in my tank for almost a year and has grown a bit. I think it is cloud eye and not pop eye, but it does have one little bump on the eye, but it is not huge. it is only one of the eyes.
How do fish get pop eye, just got scarched from a piece of rock.

It could have gotten scratched. Can you please post your water readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, SG, and temp? What do you feed this fish? Do you have other fish? How are they looking? What size tank is this?

Everything is fine,
ammo-0
nitrite-0
nitrate-0
ph is about 8.3
But i was not watching the temp today and it was 84 degrees.
I know you think this is bad, but this is a 55 gal and the only fish that is aggessive is a niger trigger.
I feed them the green seaweed, mysis shrimp and the marine cuisine.
All the other fishs are fine

I am curious of what your water change schedule is. You have zero nitrates in a tank that is over a year old? My tank is a 55 with one Falco hawk in it at the moment with about 45lbs of LR and my nitrate hovers between 5 and 10. You have two fish (that you have listed so far) that don't belong in a 55. They get way too large. The trigger is too messy and the tang needs a much, MUCH larger tank. He should be in a tank that is at least 6 feet long. What other fish do you have? How much LR do you have?

Well my test kit kind of sucks you really cant till between all the colors so it might be around 5 or 10. I have a lot of fish, but i dont want to list them because you will just get mad at me.
I have 60 lbs of sand and 66 pounds of lr though.

LOL, I will not get mad at you. I do see a sailfin, a hippo, and a larger boxfish, or is that a puffer? I know you love these fish, but you have fish that are well suited for a 125 or larger. I am not trying to spoil your love of the hobby, but your tang is already showing signs of this. That sailfin will grow over a foot high and almost as long. Your tank is simply too small for the fish that you have. I am sorry. Are you in the works of upgrading or no?

This is stress from the environment, I am sorry to say. You can feed him fozen formula foods such as formula 2 and angel formula, along with some nori. Dose it all with vitamines such as vitachem, selcon, zoe, and/or reef plus. These will all boost your fish's immune system and help him recover. This is why I asked about your tank size. I am not ragging on you now that I know the size, this is very common with fish that are in too small of a tank. They get stressed and their health declines. Even with perfect water and a strong immune system you will see these fish show more and more signs of illness until you get them out of that tank. Again, I am not trying to flame you or get you upset, but the fish that you have will not do well in that small of a system. They need at least a 125 or larger.

Cloud eye comes from a few things, all of which are easily treatable. It can come from a scratch on the rocks/nets, from water quality, from poor nutrition, or from stress. I am guessing that the fish had already scratched his eye and it just happened to cloud over while you were at the store. There is something that you should know about tangs. They go absolutely stir crazzy in small tanks. A yellow tang could not take a 55 and they stay semi-small. Most tangs are open water swimmers. It is a lot like keeping a Jack Russel Terrier in a 4X4 fenced in area. They are small and do not take up much space, but in a small area like that they would loose their mind. They have to be able to run. These fish HAVE to be able to swim.

I have told you. It is a completely curable thing. Add vitamines to his diet and be sure that he eats quality foods. I am so sorry if I am annoying you by telling you the truth. He will heal slightly, but STRESS causes cloud eye. I already told you this. Do what you will.
