Right now he is in an aggressive tank with a lion and yellow tang. I am getting rid of this tank and combining my now 4 tanks (6,12,55,55) into a 90 reef. I plan on keeping this guy. I like him. I expect him to make short work of my peppermint. We will see. I probably will keep the 12 gallon nano cube set up to keep my 2 peppermints and cleaner shrimp.
I will report on his time in the reef. I shure hope I dont have to pull it apart to get him out for nipping at corals. I can understand eating shrimp, hell there good. But eating corals, that I cant tolerate.

I had one in my reef tank for a couple of months until I found him one morning on my floor. He didnt touch my shrimp and they are the one trigger that is truely considered reef safe although my niger triger is doing just fine and leaving everything alone too. Great fish, they are really a good alternative to the cross hatch that costs much more and lacks the color that the male blue throat has.

Sorry to hear he jumped. What kinda shrimp do you have that he ignored? How big was he? I never would have bought him but now that I acquired him I'm hooked.

He was a great fish I really liked him and couldnt believe he died like that. I have a coral banded shrimp, and he was about 3.5 inches long in a 135 combo soft reef, fish, LR tank.
