Blue Velvet Damsel nipping at polyps

I've always assumed that Damsels in general were reef safe. I just got some green sea mat polpys a few days ago and when I first got them they were doing great. Today Inoticed that they weren't coming out and that they looked a little ragged, like someone had been munching on them. I sat and watch the tank and sure enough my Blue Velvet Damsel would nip at the polyps and tear pieces off.
I know people really don't like damsels on this board, but has anyone ever seen/heard of this before? I'm pretty ticked off.

I must say that when I purchased a Blue Velvet Damsel, my better judgement was clouded by the fish's beauty. I have since come to my senses and have removed the "beast" from my tank and have given it to a friend who may not be my friend for much longer if I continue to give him fish like that! One word.............EVIL!

I have one of these fish, and i love it,i call
him Sassy, because when i look at him he looks
like is mouth is running a hundred miles a
hour.He has never nipped at any of my corals
he doesn't hesitate to nip at the other fish
if they come near him,he once carried a snail
to the other side of the tank and droped it.
I guess he's just like us,we need our space.
