I have discovered a "bobbit worm", or "Eunicid" in my tank. He lives in one of my pieces of live rock, and is feasting on my snails and hermits if they get near his lair. I don't really mind this so much, cause he seems to be sticking to them, and not going after my fish or other critters. I was able to coax him into eating some frozen squid too and got a good look at him.
He is about 4-5 inches long (i am guessin,as it has never come all the way out) anyway, i have been trying to find information on them, and have not found much, although i DID read that they have been known to eat coraline algae. does anyone here have these in their tank, know any more about him? I dont care if it eats a few snails here and there, but i DO care if he is going to munch on my coraline algae....
