I know RO is all good but let say u aint got nothing $$$ would boiled water or canister filtered H2O good enough? Please advise.

ive been using boiled tap water for about 3 months now, no problem...just boil it, let it cool, then add some amquel...my tanks doing fine...once your tank is up, to do water changes or whatever, go to vons (safeway in the bay area...) and buy some safeway brand distilled water..."prepared by reverse osmosis and/or deionization"....perfect to add to the tank....very convenient too....

Go with distilled water.....boiling water does not rid it of chemicals, only biologicals which really aren't that much of a concern. Boiling your water may in fact concentrate chemicals like sulfur, chlorine, and chloramine in your water depending on your location. Distilled water can be had for about 0.39/gallon and is perfectly safe.

I'm glad I waited for some responses before I poured boiled water in my tank. That's a dang good point about the concentration being higher after evaporation.
Kind of like people who think salt evaporates, so they add it to their top off water.
I wonder if those people would realize you are supposed to let the boiled water cool before adding it to the tank... if you would even risk it at all.

That sounds cool man. I can't ride... one.. I would kill myself. I have a problem with speeding. two... I don't know how. So I would kill myself that way too.
