bonding or mating a pair of fish

so I was wondering if there is a technique to this that any of you would like to share? I would like to bond or mate my own pair of tiger gobies...so is it as simple as putting them both into a QT tank and placing a plexiglass separator between them and over time they will just become used to each other and can be put together?

thanks Kristin...I thought I would get more feedback about this lol:p

I tried you tube and I can't find much information about it...I googled pairing clown fish and from what im reading all you can do is get them as juveniles and hope for the best...

I know clowns can change sex as they mature so bonding them works that way but I guess im not sure that all saltwater fish have the ability to changes sex so im not sure how involved it would be with the tiger goby

You'd first need to know you have a male and a female. Not sure how easy that is to do. Maybe they change sex like clowns, I really have no idea. Seems like a question for @bang guy

I've never purposely attempted to breed Gobies. From what I understand the most successful way is to introduce 5 or so Gobies, wait for a pair, and then remove the others.

I also believe there are people that do this constantly to sell paired gobies. If it were me I would attempt to purchase a pair that has already bonded. With my luck I would buy five gobies and they would all be male.

thanks bang...im not actually attempting to breed them just thought it would be neat to have a pair of them...I may just cancel this idea all together and just make it simple and go with one lol

thanks again everyone
