BOO HOO Babies

Well my Hectors goby arrived DOA and as I prepared to look at my new spotted mushroom, to see how it was doing.... I see something floating...a baby seahorse...as I pondered what to do with it and at the same time scanned the tank for others I see it get sucked into the filter. I have 1 in a net. I orded a net hatchery yesterday to at least put the prego horse in it so I could maybe call Peka to come get them but I was too late.
Poor little critter, it hasn't a chance.

LOL...I just wanted them to die someplace else. I caught 1 before it met it's doom in the filter...if only I had not looked. Now what do I do with the tiny little thing in the net?

Does your male still look big?? sometimes they give you warning babies, one or two the day before.

No my canister was loaded with dead babies. I removed the mesh they were caught in. I was afraid the decaying babies might cause a problem with water quality. I ordered a couple of Lee's net breeders, they didn't arrive in time, I should have ordered earlier....Maybe next batch I can contact Peka and have her come get them.
If I can't get Peka, (she didn't answer my last e-mails) Can I send them to you? ...LOL...I'm serious. That 1 little baby I put in the refugium to die, I couldn't watch it die of starvation nor could I bring myself to kill it or feed it to the eaters who live in the 90g. Maybe (dream) it will survive on tiny baby copepods.
