Booger eaters...

Why would a person pick debris out of their nose and place it in their mouth?

My wife witnessed a grown woman picking and eating her boogers while she drove down the freeway. What on earth makes a person think it's OK to do such a thing? My wife nearly puked at the sight. This is OK, but you can't hold a cell phone to the side of your skull and drive.

I just googled "booger eating" and rather than post links and get this wonderful thread locked, I'll leave that to you guys. It turned up some VERY interesting results.

There really is nothing more disgusting then eating a booger. I definitely would down a chew-tabacco split cup or a cup of skimmate over eating a booger.....

Brains, blood, needles, insides, vomit... on and on... show me the aforementioned and I will blow gears.
To all of those people who think its totally disgusting to pick your nose and eat it, I hope your not the ones who can at will take a huge snort in through your nose and then ever so eloquantly gag it up into your mouth and then spit it out onto the ground... Not to totally derail this topic but I read an article a few years ago that said they were able to scientifically prove that children that ate their boogers were less likely to get sick than kids that didnt. Basically, by eating the boogers the kids bodies were producing antibodies to help fight off viruses and bacteria that would have normally made them sick. Thought it was kinda interesting.
