did you go with a 2 or 4 bulb t5 fixture?
the two bulb fixture will pretty much keep everything a 2x40w pc could. i recommend upgrading from the stock bulbs for better par. if you're looking for some awesome coloration go with one aquascience 15000k and one ati blue + bulb. it'll be a nice tint of blue and really make the corals pop

Well, I am debating on the nova extreme slr t-5 (36 watt) 2x18watt fixture that is 18 in.
or the nova extreme slr t-5 (48 watt) 2x24watt fixture but its 24 in.
Both come with 10,000k and 460nm bulbs as stock.
If I can make the 24in fixture work with the mounting legs on my 20 in tank, I think I will go with that one.
Unless anyone has another fixture that would be better?

yes the 24in fixture has adjustable lengths for the legs. do not get the 18 in fixture. you will be stuck with the current bulbs which you do not want. itll do, but i can guarantee you will want better coloration. for sure go with the 24" and get the bulbs i recommended if you can. if not, u can hold off and get them later but they have much better par which is what you need for corals. the pc's dont give off great par which is why i recommended the t5. the stock current t5 bulbs are still better than pc's though

Well Guys...I added two more pieces of rock and a couple hermit crabs. all parameters are great. A couple hours after adding the rock from my local pet store....I noticed tenacles coming out of one of the rocks...looks like I had a serpent star hitch a ride home with me.
I know he wont survive in my new tank, and I dont want him in the 75... so this is just great!
Any ideas on how to get him out of the rock?

As far as the lights...I am trying to work out a deal on a sunpod 150watt fixture instead of the t-5's.
just waiting on the email from the seller.
If not I will definitely order the t-5's this week.

geting a star to come out of the rock is tricky and takes time. i have used fish flakes in a trap(i petridish with holes in it) and it seemed to like them cause he came right out to feed. but they are fast to!lol

Sounds like a good idea. I really dont want to stick my hand in there to catch him...it creeps me out!!
I really dont like them...But I dont want it to starve or anything. If I can catch it..I will take it back.

you can try taking the rock out and putting it in an extra tub or bucket with partial filled water from your tank. He should drop down into the water if hes not all the way covered. This always worked with my emerald crab when I wanted him off a rock during relocation and cleaning. (or take the rock in with the guy clinging to it[in a large ziplock or bucket] and trade it at the LFS for another rock)

thanks for the tip. I think I will probably take the whole piece of rock back to the LFS. He hasn't come out at all!!

Thanks guys!
I am not very good at aquascaping my rocks....but it'll work!! Not sure what I want to put in it yet. Just got home from work, and fed the fish in the 75 and thought I better try to feed that little hitchhiker (starfish) in the 10. I gave it some mysis shrimp...and yes it grabbed it up!! I will try to remove him tomorrow and take him back to the store. And time for another water change...ugh!

Updated Photo!! added rock and a frag rack. Its looking better I think!!
Just keep moving the rocks around untill your happy with it! You'll want to have it set up the wasy ou like it now or else you'll always want to rearrange which could get tricky once u get corals.
Its comming along nicely! If you want the rock work to look like mine put the big grey rock where the flat white one is and spread them out a little and put the flat white rock ontop so you have a nice shelf to put corals on and you have the cave for the low light corals.

Yeah I know. I will probably change them around again. the big grey rock is the one with the magnets (artificial rock) so it actually sits up against the back of the tank. I am adding more rock and will probably use the flat white rock to make a cave, I just couldnt get it to look right with the rocks that I have right now. Thanks for the advice!! It's fun to set up this little tank!
