So after our NL stint , we have come back to the AL and it looks like we will drop our 3rd straight game after returning. What I dont understand is why we keep going after pitchers in horrible slumps. Johnson CANNOT pitch , it is ridiculous, i have watched him this whole game , he let the first 5 lead off batters on, however he is very consistant (of getting men on base) WHY are we going after horrible pitchers when we should be looking at a big trade. In my mind we have 3 good right fielders. 1. Trot Nixon 2. Gabe Kapler 3. Wily Mo Pena. We can look at getting rid of one if not two of these players. My best Scenerio is out of the 3 who do you really think will pan out for the long run ....... Trot Nixon has had trouble with durability and although he is a great player , he is a free agent next year and he wont get the money that he wants to be offered due to age and injuries so if he is going to stay it will be at a discounted price which i dont think will happen being this is his first time ever on the market. Then you have Gabe Kapler, he isnt yound but he has proved he can hit and feild , he has had his injuries but he wont be demanding a ton of money, and he has shown he is durable as of late , Then you have Wily Mo , I dont beleive the redsox have the option to trade him as he is on the DL probably all the way up to the trade dead line. Also this guy has power and although i was VERY upset to see bronson go for this guy he has learned disciplin at the plate and proven himself in the field. So I think that you need to take Trot Nixon, Johnson, Taverez and a couple of prospects and try to get somebody to take Matt Clements Role and handle it . I dont have any complaint with Jon Lesters performance but this Johnson guy is just a horrible move. Dont get me wrong I like Trot alot he is a true Redsox player but thinking he is going to be here next year is living in fairytale land.
And why do we continue to have problems with the Devil Rays, this is a half--- unproven team. What is the deal?

I too am a Braves fan. but this is what happens when someone buys a team just so they can lose expendable money in it and then re-sell. this is why baseball has fallen so far behind football....there are no controls in place to keep this kind of business deal from happening in baseball, and there is no level playing field.

couldnt agree more, as for the braves , i thought for sure they would be contending. I just wont beable to stand seeing the yankees sneak into the playoffs with dvision and have the redsox out because the wildcard will most likely goto the AL Central , I can allready see this playing out which is why im so upset

dont worry about the yankees winning anything this year. im a 100% positive that the Tigers will take care of them in the playoffs if they face them and if they dont they will still get further :cheer:

Yes but I will always remember the down 0-3 come back the yankees were the first team to let that happen to ....... they may have beat the tigers (in a 3 game series) but how do you explain going 9-10 TO THE NATIONAL LEAGUE!! hahahaahahha what a joke, same old story Jeter sucks A-Rod Torre throws and Damon catches. I say let all of the babies have there bottles. There gonna end up being 15 back at the end of the season anyway. www.arodsucks.com
