its defenitly not dead. thre were lots of polyps out and the shop. right before my lights turned out polyps were coming out also. i will post more pics tomorow when they are out.

toadstool is almost impossible to kill. i have one in my fowlr that was lost in the lr for weeks, only to resurface later.

ok bad new. i came home to find the top of the toadstool completly OFF! what the heck!!! its polyps are still out and everything..what am i suppose to do????!!!

heres what i say happened...........The guy at the store either accidently ripped/cut the top off. then either glued it back on, or tried to get it to reattach, then figured he might as well sell it before it dies. The crown and the trunk part of leathers are connected and would not seperate by itself(IMO)and if it did, it would happen over time, not all of a sudden

but yes, the leather can still live after being cut in half, and the polyps may still extend.

it seemed really attached when i got it. there was even a little one on the side of the rock, that also fell off. that one was the size of a tic tac. and i have it sitting on my sand bed with very little flow.
