No problem at all! We have two in our tank, and they don't bother anyone. They're also in there with a CBS and two Emerald Crabs...everyone gets along just fine

swf had some boxing crabs last month and i wish i had bough one :) i've seen some wacky things, but those take the cake :) any pics of yours kanicky?

I have one too, he hides alot so its kind of exciting when he shows face.
Mine is in a tank w/ a skunk cleaner, blood shrimp, em. crabs, pepp.shrimp...
and no problems. I cant get a pic b/c he is always nestled in the weirest places.

I think so. Boxer crabs are pretty small. and brightly colored... sounds like a 'snack' for a eel.

heres mine! hes in w/ 2 emerals crabs and a cleaner no probs at all just hides alot! but when you see him its awsome! he had gotten alot bigger! but havent gotten a pic ! hopefully i'll be gettina sexy shripm soon those are crazy to!

I have a boxer crab also. He belongs to the witness protection program
everynow and then he shows himself. He is in there with an emerald crab, cleaner shrimp and a brittle star

Hi I have a 40 gallon reef tank that has been cycleing for about 3 weeks and everything is stable. I wanted to add a boxing crab to my tank and didn't know if they come with the anemones or not?
I also heard that they loose the anemones when they molt. how do i replace them?

I just got mine today, hes drip acclimating now. He came with 2 anemones. Im pretty sure when they molt, they put them down, and then pick them back up when they are done.

I have one also and he and my 3 emerald crabs are always out eating and aren't shy at all...they look GREAT on the my black sand...I'm sooo glad I changed from regular white sand to black...makes the colors stand out soo much

I had one in my tank when I was fairly new to the hobby and I loved it but unfortunatley it died after a few months
. Like you all said, it rarely showed its face except at night. I would love to get another one but unfortunatley I haven't seen anyone selling one since then

I am really wanting to get one, im just worried that my fish may pick at it and kill it. I have an emerald crab, but hes about 1.5 in and huge claws, so he can hold his own, but the pom pom crabs seem much smaller and not as agressive. Its mainly the file fish and the puffer that pick at things. I have a royal dottyback that love to pick at small hermit crabs, but i think the crab would be fine with her, shes only about 2-3 inches long

The one I got I just bought off of here last week. Its on its 2nd day in my tank with 2 anemones, an arrow crab, tons of hermits, many snails, emeralds, and several fish... hes running around like he owns the place. hes quickly become my favorite tank creature.
