boxing crab

anyone know about the boxing crab, or pom pom crab as I like to call it. i am thinking about getting one also any info on the teddy bear crab.

Welcome to the board!
yea. they carry anenomes on their claws to scare away predators. they will never drop them with the exception of molting. they are white with orange markings. hope it helps.

Boxing crab--cool looking guys, but from what I understand will hide within LR. Teddy bears---from reading here not a good addition. Go to the search function here (top right hand corner) and type in either---lots of info there. WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!

I disagree w. the idea that boxer-crabs are not a good idea. I have two in my reef and they have been a great addition. Sure you are not going to see them all the time - but that actually makes it cool when you do...
