Boy it was quiet in here today!

Yes. It deserved a new thread.
But I stand by my assertation. It was awfully quiet in this forum today! I hope that means everyone was busy either setting up new stuff, or taking a break and just sitting back to enjoy their tanks! I've been REALLY enjoying all the active projects going on in here lately...from Theresa's new baby adventures, to Flower's tank build with the interesting flow device, it's just been a lot of fun to follow all these goings-on!
Personally I took the morning off completely. Slept in. Got up around 10ish, went to Home Depot, and brought home the material to make a new canopy. Got the frame done this afternoon, will skin it with beadboard around the sides tomorrow. Next week I'll be going to my friend's house in Palm Bay with a surprise present for her! She deserves a new canopy for her 55g tank, so it should be fun to just show up with one.

So, what did you guys do? I hope to see lots of new posts in the construction threads soon....I know I'm nosy, but I'm going through withdrawal here, man!!

Heh, tomorrow is skin-the-canopy day and bathe-the-cat day. Hope I don't get those two mixed up!

Oh yeah. I'm also saying goodbye to the 45g tank. Sold it on Clist for 75 bucks....picked up tomorrow. So I guess I can finally admit that I will NOT be converting this to a seahorse tank...Oh well. ;-)

I'm around, My computer picked up a virus, and it took my hubby until just a little bit ago to get rid of it.
My tank build is done, i have just plain water running thru it right now. I will drain to today and get salt water in. I hope to get the babies in tomorrow.

I'm procrastinating today. Wake-up time was 11 AM, and all I've done since then is eat breakfast, play online, and cut a piece of heat sink material to test some Ebay LEDs. I thought it'd be fun to see what 9 1-watt off brand LEDs would look like in a nano tank. Anybody local own a PAR meter??

Two words: Trend Micro. I love it. Been using it for 4 years, since back when it was called PC-cillin. The current version uses cloud technology to keep its local footprint nice and small on your machine, and it's a beast when it comes to filtering out unwanted crapola.
Can't wait to see pics of the new babies' playpen!!!
