I have an open brain I noticed it has been being eaten. My fox face has been munching out... I took the brain out and moved it to the 29 gal it is very damaged will it recoup? Also has anyone else had this type of problem with there fox face? Will she start eating all my other coral? I have had her for about 7 months I have seen her pic at corals but now she has done allot of damage.
Thanks Kelly

My experience and the experiences of a lot of others has been that it is the exception rather than the rule that a foxface will pic on corals. I know that doesn't change that yours seems to have developed a taste for at least your open brain. I would watch it and see. If it starts munching on others it is decision time. Corals or your foxface.
BTW--I have a foxface that I have had in my mixed reef for over 2 years and it has never touched any of my corals. I also have a couple of friends that have them in with their corals and have not ever had one touch a coral.
As far as the brain recovering, as long as their still is some flesh left on it there is a chance that it can come back. Just give it good water parameters and try spot feeding it once it will eat again.

foxface r not completely reef-safe. some will eat soft and brain corals. the brain corals can recover.
