Brain Coral Placement

A basic question I think. Just picked up a green brain coral. RIght now I have him on a piece of LR. Would he be happier down in the sand or does it really matter one way or the other.

Most brain coral like low-medium light and water flow. They do not need to be placed on the sand bed, but it might be a good idea becaue they need a lot of room to expand. If you want to place the brain coral on the rock, make sure there is plenty of room for them to grow. Good luck =)

I have always been told that brains like medium to high light.

they NEED to be in the sand if placed in rocks their soft under belly will get torn up from expanding and shrinking from night to day

if its an open brain they dont need as much light.
