brain coral

I bought a brain coral about a week ago and today I noticed that one of my cleaner shrimp seems to be eating the coral
in certain spots, it appears to be only to look like sharp blades left where the shrimp has finished.
Is my coral finished or is there any chance of recovery?

I just also noticed some white worms that are hanging out under the brain coral. I saw them for a few minutes as they peaked their heads out
these worms were strange looking, all white and also looked like some sort of mideval knife.
surroundings its body where these almost looked like spokes that stuck out their bodies in tree branch formation
any idea what these are and i would assume that these are killing my brain coral????

well usually the cleaners will do that if something is unhealthy.

Are you sure they are not featherduster worms?
Can you get us a pic?
