Brand New Tank

I have a brand new 125 gal saltwater tank. The guys from the fish store just set it up last night. I have to bring in a water sample tonight. I have live sand. They are going to give me Damsels until the tank cycles. I love unusual things. No run of the mill, what everyone else has. Any suggestions on what I should put into the tank after it cycles? (My daughter has had a saltwater tank for 5 years and she lives across the street. She can help me to gain experienceor help me out in a jam.)I can always return the damsels when the tanks completes this cycle. Thanks

A 125 is a good size tank so you will have many options to choose from.
I live in Palm Beach County also. Just out of curiosity what LFS set you up?
Barrier Reef in Boca is a nice stop and sometimes carries some unusual stuff if you havent been there yet check it out.

I live just east of Wellington. Mark's Ark on Lake Worth Road set me up. Someone else told me about the Barrier Reef in Boca. It may be well worth my while to take a ride down there. Thanks :)

Mark's is about a mile from my house and I go there all the time. Very small store with minimum selection but his staff seems to be knowledgable. If you get the chance to talk to Mark himself this guy will blow you away with his knowledge.
If you want shoot me an email at daleefan71@msn.com and I will tell you about some of the other LFS in the area as far as selection and price goes.

It is a nice size tank, do you want to keep small fish,or large fish, inverts? If you want some larger fish, you can go with a Harlequin tusk, a Semilivartis Butterfly, Cross Hatch Trigger, but all these fish are expencive so make shore the tank is cycled.

Congrats on the new tank. you are gonna get some awesome advise from the BB so you are at the right place.
Have you decided what type of tank you want? I mean fish only, reef, agressive, fish only with live rock?
Catching the damsels after the cycle is the hardest thing. many people here have posted that all too familar question on how to remove them now that the cycle is complete and the answer is always the same. Good Luck!! Before you add the damsels, check in the search mode at the top of the screan and see what advise was given to others. I know that there are other things you can use to cycle.
Good luck, and again, welcome aboard.
