brass fitting for RO/DI

ok.. so maybe this sounds like a dumb question but... Should I worry about a brass faucet that hooks up to my RO/DI (on the intake) ? I mean the maxxima RO/DI HiS is supposed to produce 99.9% pure H20 as it is ? It claims to create lab grade h20 (including taking out 99.9% of heavy metals) but I would hate to think I am introducing metals. ... but then again isn't that the point of the filter in the first place ?

Yep ~ you're fine with a brass fitting "before" the RO/DI unit.
I wondered about this too until I thought of the copper pipes and possible miles of steel piping from the municipal water plant to my home.
After the RO/DI is entirely different story as you mentioned.
From that point on ....... plastic valves/tubing ;)
You'll like the HiS Maxima !
Good choice

hehe.. yeah. the worst part is I've been using the unit for a couple months and it just bothered me now! .. I think it's because I was looking through some catalog and some maker of an RO/DI unit emphasized (non-brass fitting) which spooked me a bit. Thanks much for the confirmation though!
