there is a place online selling them for $399. I want to get one, but I dont trust that sites info.. they tend to sugarcoat everything so that all species get along and all of their corals are ok in low light etc... If anyone has info on this eel I would appreciate it

Sure.....these guys stay small, between 10-14", thick like a magic marker. They are shy and reclusive.
Primarily fisheaters, but have very small mouths, so they usually don't bother our reef fish. Feed on silversides, smelts or small shrimp. May eat small ornamental shrimp and love peppermint/ghost shrimp. You'll mmost likely have to stick feed these guys as they will not compete for food w/ aggressive feeding tankmates. A great little eels, just pricey
