Breading perc clownfish

Nope, you don't need an anenome for clownfish, (period)... it is a major thing with people believing that you do but the truth is that you don't and that alot of people can't handle an anenome. Do a search on them, I am sure you will realize they are much harder than even an expert can handle.
In order to mate clownfish you really need to get a mating pair. By that, by them as a pair and watch their 'courtship'... i'm not an expert at this part but overanalyzer seems to know more about this stuff than me.

I understand what you mean with the anemonies,
i have heard a lot of bad stories when people rush
everything to try to get one, then it dies a week later,
oh and i am getting a maited pair of percs.

lol, i'm sorry if it seemed i said something wrong.
Clowns are VERY hardy fish... very hardy. However, a perc (IMO) is just not the hardiest of htem all meaning that it is still very HARDY but not the hardiest? DOes that make sense???
But the good thing about them is that there not as aggressive. LIke tomato clowns are very hardy but there also very aggressive when they get bigger. Same with maroons.
As long as your not afraid to ask questions and try your hardest you will be fine. THere shouldn't be anything to worry about. IN fact, it's good that you started with any kind of clownfish:p

clowns are really hardy. I have one that went through a cycle just fine. And it was a perc, a true perc i dont really know the difference but im sure its not that big.

I was told that the true percs are not as hardy as the false percs.
and the diffrece is the number of dorsal spines, and the thick black line, plus the trues are a little but more orange.
