Breaking sports news... Pistons trade for Allan Iverson

I still feel Denver got the better deal.
AI use to be my fav player when I was younger. But I feel Billups is a better player than Iverson. Yeah Iverson might score more and is gonna Shot 20-30 shots to get those 25 points. And only shoot about 7-30 for the night and make 8 free throws.
Billups is a better 3 point shooter and free throw shooter. And is a better all around defsinve player.
He does not want to play defense. I dont wanna hear about steals. Other than gettin beat alot for going for the steals that all he can do... Hes not a good defender. And when I see him play D (At least in Denver) he doesnt even seem to care , but maybe with the defensive mentality in Detriot thatll change.
I mean who would you want honestly want holding Nash or Chris Paul with 3 mins to go in the game? Theres no way u want iverson on them. All he can do is play the passing lanes. I cant recall and time when AI had great defsive night other than steals. I havent never seen Billups struggle against smaller guards. he plays solid day every game!
Billups is gonna make the Nuggests better and Pistons will still be the same IMO.. Not better and Not worst... and im not an AI hater hes always been one of my fav players, but just feel nuggests got the better deal

On a defensive side of the ball I see this hurting the pistons except in the steals department. Offensively I see them with more fastbreaks and a mush higher tempo...you won't see to many games of them scoring in th 80-90s with Iverson handling the rock, he will push the offensive into another gear. If they try to have him play their style of offensive then this is a very bad move.....if they let him be iverson.....then offensively they have just gotten better.

Regarding Culpepper to the lions, he is a shadow of his former self. Every since his knee surgery he does not have near the mobility he used to. This makes him slower moving in the pocket, his arm is big but he has had accuracy problems. He has also always been fumble prone, but he made up for that with his legs and ability to run into the end zone.....without his mobility he is no better than brad johnson, except he can throw the ball farther.
You Detroit guys can have him, Dallas doesn't want him...

I've heard more than a few rumors today that this trade makes us players in the Lebron sweepstakes. As much as it would be great, I don't think it's going to happen. While it is true that we have the financial flexibility to allow Lebron to target another top-level free agent, and that the Pistons probably will have the best chance to win a championship of any team bidding for him, I still think it will be very difficult. I think Lebron will have a hard time leaving Cleveland. He is a god there and seems like he may have some loyalty to his fans. But even if he did leave, his Nike contract gives him a 20% bonus if he ends up in Chicago, New York or LA.
Personally, I don't want to see the Pistons wait 2 years for Lebron. I think that Chris Bosh would be a good fit in Rasheed's absence. He has family in Detroit and seems to have a personality that would fit well here. There are going to be so many other superstar free agents available, I'd love to see an Amare Stoudamire or Chris Paul here along with Bosh.
The really nice thing about the trade for Detroit is that even if it doesn't work out, the next couple off seasons will be like Christmas in July around here.

I feel the need to revisit this issue, (and eat some crow maybe). The trade has not exactly worked out for my Pistons. While it still has helped to set them up with salary cap space, the team now stinks. Allen Iverson has now began publicly complaining about his playing time and other nonsense. He just hasn't fit here at all.
AI is probably the most disliked local athlete in this area... quite a fall from grace for this guy.

I'm still a Dumars supporter. While he has had some horrendous first round picks, (Darko, Mateen Cleaves, Rodney White), he has also made some excellent moves. We were a second tier team when he became president and his record speaks for itself. I think he's a better evaluator of pros to consider than college kids. But he also drafted Tayshaun, Stuckey... traded Grant Hill for Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins, traded Stackhouse for Rip Hamilton, signed Chauncey and stole Rasheed from Atlanta. He has done some good things. But the summer of '10 will be very telling about which direction this team will go in.

Not really sure if this is an improvement Crimzy...Iverson is well past his prime, and Chancey is a better leader than A.I. I don't know how deep Detroit is at Power Forward, but McDyess is solid and hard to replace. The Answer is capable of playing great D, and fitting in, still not sure this is an upgrade.

Now when can I say "I told you so" to Heatlvr about the Heat getting rid of Shawn Marrion?

What are you talking about? #1 I still love Shawn Marion no doubt there but what are you trying to insinuate? First of all Jamario Moon and S.M. Are canceling each other out and Jamario is absolutely playing fantastic and making the losing of S.M. quite an afterthought at 23yrs old. So you throw in Jermaine Oneal and his 14 and 8 What the hell are you getting at? ENLIGHTEN ME PLEASE.

LOL, your serious too, that's what is so funny....You guys have a losing record since Marrion left if I'm not mistaken, you have lost 7 out of your last 10 now. Jamario Moon is what you come at me with?!?!?
The guy is averaging a whopping 7.4 points and 4.7 rebounds.....Jamario Moon....You're kidding me right???
My Phoenix Suns without their All NBA 1st Team PF are playing better than you guys....That would be the equivalent of you guys playing without D Wade....Oh, except D Wade has never been All NBA 1st team like Amare has

Jamario Moon....You make me laugh Heat

O'Neal is only averaging 5 boards a game not 8 (you didn't think I would miss that did you?
).....Marrion is a lot more than than just stats.

EWWWW, the serial antagonist KJR is in full effect!
I love Jamario Moon and have NO REGRETS getting Oneal and Moon for dumping Marions contract and Marcus Banks. We have been losing the tight games lately due to our role players are letting us down and disappearing of late ea Daquean Cook, Luther Head.
Wade will MAKE 1st team all NBA this year NO DOUBT!
It is a 2 man race for MVP THIS YEAR with WADE and LEBRON, wanna bet it will be one of these with one being a close second?
Wade will MAKE 1st all defensive team this year NO DOUBT!
Again, you are playing well this year but you will NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS and will be sitting at home rooting for YOUR LAKERS all of a sudden, lol

Steve Nash MIGHT NOT return next year if the Suns decide to clean house this summer.
Is it ANY COINCIDENCE that Shaq is playing well at the end of a contract year? yea right, dont say its was the trainers in Miami because that is complete B.S.. The same ones that rehabbed Wade? lol
Instead of worrying so much about my team, you should make a blog or write a letter to the Phoenix Suns coaching staff on how you can get AMARE and SHAQ to win TOGETHER on the court at the SAME TIME, not when ones on the bench or when one is injured.
That should be concern #1 Amare wants to run and gun, Shaq clogs up the middle Everybody knows this, why cant you see that!.
AND FINALLY This is something you most likely NEVER EVER NEVER EVER SEE in your LIFE TIME.. ala CUBS FANS(pic on left) (who knows maybe even the pic on the right) lol he he
OH, p.s. Our Dancers are even hotter than yours as well and we are going for our 4 consecutive title!

Heat, I respect you for your love of your team, but seriously quit with the MVP talk. They don't give MVP's to players on 500 teams, D Wade is fantastic, he has stayed healthy and had a fabulous year, if he had a decent supporting cast he wouldn't be averaging 30 a game though, surely you can admit that? Seriously, without Wade the Heat are the worst team in the league.
The MVP has already been given!! Stop thinking Wade has any chance!!! It's over!!! The Serial Antagonist has spoken!!!
The Suns are a bit frustrating in the front office, I think Steve Kerr pretty much sucks, but the team is playing hard and fun to watch and would be the 4 seed if we played in the East in spite of missing one of the best players in the league. Oh well, we play in the West.

I've been to Miami, I suspect you have visited Phoenix...Lets be honest, the female portion of each city is quite lovely on average, possible the 2 most attractive cities in the country.
