Hello again! Thanks for your help with the live rock! I never have breed cleaner shrimp but I've heard that they can change ---. One of my friends has two cleaners and both were pregnant at the same time! Good luck with your cleaners! :) ;)

Sounds sweet, crazy that they can change ---! I am going to probly raise a couple of them and raise there kids, and sell them to the LFS for like $10 a piece, also would be pretty rewarding, and cool to go through the process.

That's why I buy from the net. I'd have to pay $29.99 ea. for cleaners here. My cleaners have eggs and the fish and corals love it too. :D

I paid 30.00 bucks for mine last month. Get Peppermints for a buck each though.

Well my LFS sells the Scarlet Cleaners for $30.00 a piece. They buy fish for 1/3 the price they sell them for, I hope the same things goes for the cleaners :). I am going to call them tomorrow and see. If succesful, then I should be able to sell them my cleaners for $10.00 a piece, witch will be nice since they have alot of babies.

Scarlet cleaner shrimps are very hard to raise. Even in research facilities with all the information and equipment their success rate is very minimal. I had a pair that were regularly reproducing and never was able to have the fry pass the five day stage. They are very delicate when just born and even a small air bubble in the water can damage them. Obviously, if there are other fish in your tank they will have a nice dinner once the shrimp hatch.

Yeah the LFS that i work at sells cleaner shrimp for 16.00 dollars.. it all depends on the supplier.. i have had costumers that have owned pet shops in the past complain about that price to me.. but i geuss it just depends.. Most likely if you breed the shrimp successfully and sell them the babies you wont get a big profit but it would still be really neat! :)
