Oh yea lol. I left out the obvious. How many 2 lieter bottles should I use for the greenwater? I was thinking 3 10 gallon container for the rotifers.

IMO, its much easier to purchase the phyto.. The paste from Reeds mariculture seems to work well for most and is the most economical. I use DTs. For rotifers, I use inverted 5 gallon water jugs (pic and details posted in a thread here somewhere). ! per pair of clowns could be enough, but its a good idea to keep 2 going.

I guess I will purchase it then. Saves me lots of money. Ill need to see your setup. Not really coming to me. Should I drip to rots into the tank? 10 gallon enough? Here is a pm I sent bang but never got one back.. I see why lol its looonnnggg
If I dont drip the rotifers how much do I feed the clowns? Just dump them right in?
After the clowns are past the mutation period I will let them stay in the rearing tank for another week. Then can I move them into another 10 gallon?
What filter for the grow out? Power? Still sponge? In the tank filter?
The rearing tank will have 3 sides black accept the one facing me?
When I move the clowns to the rearing tank do I put the rock/tile/pot above the airstone to give them good flow?
When do I turn the sponge filter on?
Water temp in the rearing same as tank?
Rotifer water temp?
Anything else that I should know to be sucessful would be great! Any sites to look at please let me know. Reasearching this is fun.
(Sorry that your the lucky one to answer, and help me through this.)
So thank you so much for guiding me through this.

I use a 53-micron filter. You probably can buy it at the same place you get BBS eggs, rotifer, and phytoplankton. It is worth the money. I filter rotifer as well as BBS. It is said that fries can only see a few body lengths away. So, dont dose too sparse.

After metamorphosis, I increase the water level in their 10 gallon tank. I have about 15 4-months clowns. They are still living in the original 10 gallon with about 2 gallons of water.

74 now. When they were just hatched, they kept being fried by the heater so I had to turn off the heater. They had to live in 70deg water.

I culture phyto in 2 2-L bottles. The air is supplied by a Rena 100. I culture rotifer in a milk jug. I have another Rena 100 to aerate that culture. You don't have to light the rotifer culture.

I was told that the temp of the rearing needs to be exactly the same as the tank the eggs come from or they will go into shock and die. Also can you please make me up a list of what I need. Should I do live cultures? Or just buy it?

Rearing Tank:
10 Gallon, heater, air line tubing, air pump, lights. Fish is about 4 months old. I do about 20% water change daily. Next batch, I might use 5 gallon so I can stand-up the heater.

BBS Station + Strainer:
Some carry-out containers, 20oz bottles, airline, same air pump as the tank, 53 micron strainer.

Rotifer:
1gallon milk container. Another air pump. I have 2 cultures. The first one has airline the other doesn't. Both will grow rotifer. The culture with airline is twice denser.

Phyto:
5 gallon bucket, shop light, 2 2-L bottles, air lines + pump. I rotate these every 2 weeks during off seasons and 1 week when I need to feed rotifer.

2 Liters is enough? Do you have an air stone in the rearing or do you want coarse bubbles over the fry. Pics help so much thanks. Also how much greenwater do you feed the rots? Do you fill it back up when your done feeding? What are the specs on the rot tank and the greenwater? Sg..ext How much rots do you feed the clowns?

I think this is what im going to do.
5 gallon rearing tank, air pump with 2 air stones(1 going to a sponge filter), heater, light (ill post some pics of the stuff in like 15 min)
10 Gallon grow out tank for when they are like 3-4 months, 90gph power filter, heater lights
2 2 liter phytos, 20 watt strip lights, air pump going into both
2 gallon tank of rotifers and another milk jug both with air supply and lights.

I'll answer those questions not in any particular orders...
a) rot/green water/fry tank/grow out tank all at SG 1.020. Fry/rearing tank is at 75'ish. The rest of the water is at basement temperature - 65'ish.
b) Feed rotifer enough so the water is a little green. I feed enough so the water turn clear in 2-3 days.
c) I do 20% wc every day to the fry tank and the rearing tank. I have every little water in my tank so 20% is about .5 gallon.
d) Put enough rotifer into your tank so that the fry doesn't have to swim more than 2 body lengths away to get food. They have very poor eye sights when first hatched.

Thanks, Only 1 thing I was told that the rearing/fry tank was the same parms as your tank. 80 degrees in my case, Sg of 1.026. Becuase if its not exact the fry will go into shock.
