Breeding

Well I dont think its been done before because they are amoung the cheapest and most common fish in the hobby and it would be extremely difficult to justify their breeding for economic reasons. They are very cheap and very common, why spend $10-15 bucks on a captive bred one when you can get one for $5? Same reason Flame angels are not commercially bred, they havent figured out how to do it and not lose money even though they know how to do it and have done it repeatedly with them and other angels.
As to breeding them, they are relatives to clownfish, the breeding would probably be similar. If you attempt to go this route definately go with the smallest pair you can find. If the family trait continues and you get them young enough then the dominant one will become the female. Again though, this is speculation on my part since thats one species that never crossed my mind to try and breed. As to food if you actually do get them to breed, look up clownfish breeding since there is droves of info online about the subject.
Recommend feeding the aspiring pair, high quality and diverse foods as well, it should increase the chances. Also start with two or three pairs in separate containers or in a single tank separated by dividers. They will tolerate each other I know but you will have a harem form rather than multiple pairs which would increase you breeding chances. I would go so far as to blacken the dividers so they cant see each other. This is where I would start at any rate, but this field has not been tried I think so it is relatively new territory.
