I read once that hatching your own brine shrimp can (not always but could) bring on ich to your tank. Does anyone know of this to be truth? I mean buy the eggs and do your own thing kind and not the frozen UV protected type from the stores.

If the brine shrimp has been exposed to ich, or infected fish/tank, then it is conceivably possible, since brine have "shells" a hard surface upon which the parasite can land during the tomont stage of its life cycle.
The key is "exposer" to the parasite, not that shrimp carry ich in and of itself. Because they don't.
