i have hatched my brine shrimp in san francisco bays hatchery. i have moved them to a seperate contaianer to raise them. in this case i used their hatch mix and i see that it contains aquarium salt commonly used in salt water. in my clown fishes book it says the water should be between 1.010 and 1.020. in the hatching water i couldnt pick up a salt level because it was so low. what should the salinity be in the grow out tank and what kind of salt should i use, aquarium or instant oceans salt? how should i go about doing it by the eggs in the little case?

Although I believe that its a waste of time to grow them out (youre better off to hatch and feed them off to the tanks right away.. not let them grow) they will hatch and grow in almost any salinity. I use tank water from my display (35 ppt or 1.026). If your mixing new water, you could save a little salt and mix it at 1.010.
