Well i'm right smack in the middle of the projected path of hurricane charley here in cape coral, FL. After all last night & today preparing I am finally ready. The hurricane shutters are up & I got one of the last generators at Lowes so my tank will be OK!! Got lots of fresh top off water & pre-mixed salt water ready to go. Its pretty crazy around here right about now. No plywood or water around anywhere. You have to wait in long lines to get gas. Most of the area around me is under mandatory evacuation but i'm about 5 minutes away from there so I'll be staying home to weather the storm & keep the reeftank 100% .....So bring it on Charley!!!!!

Make sure to get enough gas for your generator for several days and also oil to do an oil change on the generator.

We made it! Well after a week with no power or water & 11 days with no internet service All my tank inhabs & I made it through the storm finally. I had to run on generator power 24/7 the whole time and just ran the VHO's w/o MH but everything made it ok. The heat caused more probs then anything else really. I had a fan blowing across the tank top 24/7 to help but it still got way too hot. Some things got stressed but all ok now. I tell you though, I never want to do that again. It will never be the same around here. Many roofs ripped off, trees down, etc. Im sure its been all over the news the last week & half. heres some pics:
